CAIRO – 1 February 2022: The Mohammed Hassanein Heikal Foundation for Arab Journalism announced the opening of applications for the Arab Journalism Award, starting from February 1 and for a period of four months.

 

 

 

 

The deadline to apply for the competition, via awards@heikal.info, is May 31.

 

 

 

 

The Mohamed Hassanein Heikal Foundation for Arab Journalism aims, through these awards to honor the journalists of the Arab world who distinguished themselves in their journalistic work during the year 2021.

 

 

 

 

Comprised of a commemorative medal and L.E. 250,000, these awards will help journalists develop their skills and enhance their tools to keep pace with a world that does not stop developing.

 

 

 

 

Contestants can submit any work published in Arabic in an Arabic newspaper, magazine or news website. All Arab nationalities can apply for the competition, provided that the applicant is 40 years old or less on December 31, 2021.

 

 

 

 

It is worth noting that the Mohamed Hassanein Heikal Foundation for Arab Journalism was established in 2007 with the aim of effectively contributing to the promotion and development of the expertise of workers in the journalistic field in all its platforms, acquainting them with the latest developments in the world press.

 

 

 

 

The award provides a special focus on younger generations of journalists, encouraging and nurturing a dialogue and an exchange of experiences between journalists in Egypt and the world, and providing technical support to various emerging press institutions.
