CAIRO – 11 July 2017: The Moroccan-Saharan oul singer Oum will be performing on Wednesday July 26 at 8:30 p.m. Cairo local time, at Azhar Park.

The tickets are sold for LE 50 ($2.7) and people can purchase the ticket from E7gzely.com

Oum is known across the Middle East and Europe for merging Arabian Saharan sounds with jazz and soul. She is a singer, composer and bilingual lyricist who writes her songs, mixing the Moroccan Darija dialect with English.


Her name originally comes from the Moroccan Oum El-Ghaït, which means the mother of relief. This name is given to girls who are born during rainfall in the desert.

In 2009 she released her first album and afterwards she became famous in morocco; however after the release of her Soul Album she started becoming famous in France, England, North Africa and the Middle East.
