CAIRO – 9 December 2021: On December 9 at 6 p.m., the Fine Arts sector is preparing to launch the exhibition "Contiguous Spaces", in two halls  (Ajyal 1 - 2) at the Mahmoud Saeed Museums Center in Alexandria.

The exhibition runs until December 19 and will receive visitors daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except for Fridays and Mondays.

Mahmoud Saeed Museums Center comes among the artistic centers of the Fine Arts Sector. It was opened on April 17, 2000, in the villa of the artist Mahmoud Saeed in Ganaklis area in Alexandria.

Mahmoud Saeed Museums Center is located on the first floor of the villa, and includes a number of the artist's paintings along with a collection of his personal belongings.

It is worth noting that Mahmoud Saeed is considered one of the pioneers of 20th century Egyptian art scene. It is the period in which artists and writers tried to search for a formulation that reflects their Egyptian identity, away from the European and Ottoman influences that dominated the lives of the upper class in Egypt.
