Hefzy: “CIFF, Sphinxes Avenue event, Nelly, Yousra, Elham Shahine, Laila Elwi are Egypt’s soft powers”

The 43rd edition of Cairo International Film Festival kicked off on November 26.

”I am so proud with the Egyptians who are behind the Sphinxes Avenue grand event” said CIFF head Mohamed Hefzy in his speech during the festival opening ceremony.

 Hefzy explained that it was a challenge for him to head CIFF for 4 years.

“CIFF, Sphinxes Avenue event, Nelly, Yousra, Elham Shahine and Laila Elwi are Egypt’s soft powers” Hefzy said.

Hefzy asked the attendees to watch a video commemorating our stars who we lost in the past period.

“ I want to thank all the previous CIFF heads Kamal Elmalakh, Saad Eldin Wahba, Samir Farid, Ezzat Abu Auf and Hussein Fahmy” Hefzy said.
