CAIRO – 23 November 2021: The Greater Cairo Library is launching a series of workshops on climate adaptation, set to be held on the first Wednesday of every month.

The workshops will be held with the participation of volunteers that include Egyptian university students, experts and those interested in combating the effects of climate change in Egypt.

This comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s efforts to adapt to climate change.

Director General of the Greater Cairo Library Yasser Mostafa Othman said that the workshops focus on training participants to change some of their daily habits that cause the release of greenhouse gases. Climate action leaders will train and qualify the volunteers within the One Million Young Volunteers Climate Action Initiative.
