CAIRO – 11 November 2021: Suha Mohamed and her band "Tablet El-Set" will perform the most famous folk songs on November 18, at 7:30 p.m., in Al-Nahr Hall in El-Sawy Culturewheel.

The troupe is known for performing folk songs with great skill to preserve the originality of the melody, along with their high precision in playing the drums and the flute.

Suha Mohamed, the founder of the band, says that she loves folk arts, such as dancing and playing musical instruments.

Mohamed explained that she joined the Reda Folklore Troupe and gave many performances, which enriched her experience in that field, until she became a trainer for traditional dances.

Yet, she pursued another dream to create success for women in playing the drums, and to form a band made of Egyptian women, deriving its character from popular Egyptian songs and from Egyptian instruments, especially the drum and flute.

Eventually, Mohammed founded her own 10-member group. The band has presented many concerts in which Egypt’s folk singing  is presented.
