‘PODFEST DUBAI’ launches on November 14

CAIRO – 9 November 2021: Under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Dubai Press Club is organizing “PODFEST DUBAI”, the first digital event of its kind in the region, with the participation of a group of the most important makers of podcasts and Arabic audio content.

The event will be held in the presence of regional institutions specialized in podcasting. The event will discuss the future of podcasting in the Arab region and ways to transform audio content into a professional product through marketing, promotion, audience acquisition and performance measurement, in addition to presenting the experiences of Arab podcasters, their role in creating and presenting meaningful Arabic audio content, and the positive impact of digital platforms in promoting inspiring Arab experiences.

During the event, which will be held on November 14 at the headquarters of the Dubai Press Club in Dubai World Trade Center’s One Center, a group of the most prominent podcast makers and enthusiasts will shed light on the reality of podcast platforms and the future aspirations of podcasters in the short, medium and long term, according to a future vision that corresponds to the media changes in the world.

The organization of PODFEST DUBAI confirms Dubai’s leading position as a center for future digital trends and an influential destination in the development of Arab media and content. This comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the Dubai Press Club and major institutions and platforms supporting this industry in the region, and reflects the interest of the club to participate in the development of the sector and to support Arab podcast makers, enhancing the positive impact of their production on the societies of the Arab region.

The Dubai Press Club’s initiative to launch PODFEST DUBAI comes at a time when there is emphasis on the media content industry and the importance of finding digital tools and platforms that provide the Arab recipient with a more effective and attractive media experience, while the sessions will be an opportunity to exchange views and ideas on topics related to the reality and future of podcasting in the region.
