The delegation of Ibero-American countries' ambassadors during visit to Alexandria's Citadel Of Qaitbay - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities

CAIRO – 20 October 2021: On October 19, the Citadel of Qaitbay in Alexandria hosted a delegation of 15 ambassadors from Ibero-American countries, on the sidelines of their visit to Alexandria to attend the activities of the Ibero-American Cultural Week, which is held in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

 

 

 

 

The delegation included the ambassadors of Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Ecuador, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Guatemala, Colombia, and Uruguay among others.

 

 

 

 

During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by Governor of Alexandria Mohamed El-Sherif, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin Affairs Ashraf Mounir.

 

 

 

 

The ambassadors were keen to tour all parts of the citadel, where they enjoyed watching the main towers, the castle courtyard and the ancient cannons.

 

 

 

 

This visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' keenness to benefit from the important events and international tournaments held in Egypt to promote the various tourist and archaeological destinations.
