CAIRO – 29 August 2021: On August 29, the House of Arabic Poetry, [Sit Wasila Creativity Center], is organizing a poetry night to commemorate pioneering poet Salah Abdel-Sabour’s death anniversary, at 5 p.m.

 

 

 

The evening a seminar titled “Readings from the Poetry of Salah Abdel-Sabour” followed by another seminar entitled “Salah Abdel-Sabour, a Poet and Theatrical Figure”, in which a number of intellectuals and poets will participate.

 

 

 

It is noteworthy that the late poet Salah Abdel-Sabour is considered one of the most important Arab poets; he was also a talented writer and journalist.

 

 

 

Abdel-Sabour wrote many poetic works, including: “Nas fe Baladi” [People of My Country] and “Ta’amolat fe Zaman Gareeh” [Reflections on a Wounded Era].
