Egypt’s Bibliotheca Alexandrina to hold ‘The Literature of Letters: Letters from the Other Shore’ symposium on Aug. 25

CAIRO – 24 August 2021: On August 25, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Book Fair will organize an online symposium entitled "The Literature of Letters: Letters from the Other Shore" from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

The symposium will discuss the experience of letters literature and the book "Letters from the Other Shore" written by Hossam Abdel Qader.

A number of critics and intellectuals will participate in the symposium.

The book revolves around common concerns and issues of interest to the nation. It talks about the feeling of alienation outside and inside the homeland, in light of phenomena like immigration, and travelling across seas and oceans for the uncertain hope for a better tomorrow.
