Egypt’s NOUH to chronicle architectural history of Garden City neighborhood within ‘City Memory’ series

CAIRO – 3 August 2021: Within the "City Memory" series, Egypt’s National Organization for Urban Harmony is preparing a documentary book to chronicle the architectural, historical and social life of the historic Garden City neighborhood in Cairo.

The organization aims, through the series "City Memory" to instill the value of preserving the urban heritage. It is noteworthy that the organization has completed documenting the social and architectural life of Garden City to clarify the importance of the neighborhood from an architectural, historical and social points of view. It is all due to be printed in a book.

The book is prepared by professors specializing in planning and architecture headed by Hossam Ismail, Professor of History and Islamic Civilization.
