Great Pyramid of Cheops lit up in blue and orange in recognition of World Hepatitis Day - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities

CAIRO – 29 July 2021: On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, which falls on July 28 of each year, the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Giza was lit in blue and orange, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministries of Tourism and Antiquities, Health and Population.

 

 

 

Director of the Giza Pyramids area Ashraf Mohieldin explained that this tradition also came to celebrate the eradication of Hepatitis C in Egypt, one of the most important achievements of the 100 Million Health Initiative. The Mohammad Ali castle was also lit.
