CAIRO – 6 July 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem decided to increase the daily capacity of visitors to the 52nd Cairo International Book Fair to reach 140,000 visitors per day, which represents 70 percent of the total capacity of the halls, instead of 100,000 visitors.

 

 

 

This decision was made in support of the publishers and in response to their desire. It also comes in implementation of the instructions of Prime Minister and Chairman of the Anti-Coronavirus Committee Mostafa Madbouly, 

 

 

 

Abdel Dayem also directed to increase the number of daily trips of schools and universities by 20 percent, and to open signing ceremonies, provided that reservations should be made through the Egypt Exhibition Center and with the approval of the Publishers Association.

 

 

 

Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem also specified that the signing ceremonies start from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and stressed the continuation of the decision to prevent signing ceremonies inside confined spaces.
