CAIRO – 28 June 2021: Egypt’s Nilometer is an ancient instrument used to measure the water level of the Nile so Egyptian farmers would know whether to expect famine or flood.

It is a rare hidden gem located in Rhoda Island, Cairo.

Make sure to visit the Nilometer and enjoy a beautiful ancient building ornate with Quranic verses relating to water, vegetation, and prosperity carved on the walls of its well.
