CAIRO – 22 July 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea convened with Egypt’s Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Enani to discuss developments in the arrangements made for the Egyptian participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, which will be held next October and will run for 6 months.

 

 

 

Gamea said that this meeting comes within the framework of coordination and cooperation between the ministry and all government agencies to ensure the success of the Egyptian participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, to reflect Egypt's position and weight on the regional and international arenas, especially the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities because of its great capabilities and expertise in this field, especially after organizing the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade, which contributed to raising the chances of Egypt’s participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai, pointing out that Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly praised the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition and directed all aspects of support to it to achieve the desired goals, which include highlighting the concept of integration with the world to achieve a better future, through Egypt's giant development initiatives in all aspects of life.

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, Gamea explained that Egypt will be presented at the exhibition as a popular investment destination in the region due to its huge national projects in infrastructure, measures to attract foreign investments, smart cities and industrial zones, in addition to the economic zone of the Suez Canal.

 

 

Gamea stated that the Egyptian pavilion is located in the “Opportunities Area”, which is considered the most important area of the Dubai Expo, next to the UAE pavilion, which reflects the importance of Egypt, especially due to its distinguished experiences, its ancient civilization, and the uniqueness of the Egyptian character with distinct features throughout history, noting that the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition will witness the establishment of 106 events, including workshops, discussion meetings, business meetings, and cultural salons, as well as 9 specialized exhibitions in the fields of antiquities, education, real estate investment, and “Our Heritage” exhibition, as well as recreational and cultural events to attract the largest possible number of audience and visitors to the exhibition.

 

 

 

 

For his part, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Enani explained that this meeting comes as a continuation of a series of meetings in which he held with the Minister of Trade and Industry, following his inspection of the Egyptian pavilion participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai during May 2021, especially since the Ministry of Trade and Industry is the pioneer in organizing the Egyptian participation in this exhibition.

 

 

 

 

Enani praised the great efforts exerted in designing the exterior and interior of  the Egyptian pavilion participating in the exhibition, which highlights the identity of Egypt through the pharaonic drawings and hieroglyphic symbols on the facade of the pavilion. According to Enani, this exhibition will be a great attraction for foreign tourism to Egypt.

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, Enani stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to carefully select the images, backgrounds and murals displayed in the Egyptian pavilion in the exhibition to reflect the precision of the ancient Egyptians in the fields of building, construction, industry and crafts. 

 

 

 

 

Also, an exhibition of Egyptian archaeological reproductions will be held throughout the duration of Expo 2020 Dubai.
