CAIRO – 3 June 2021: On June 3, Egypt’s megastar Mohamed Ramadan surprised his fans by uploading a video on his official Facebook account stating his accounts at a local bank have been frozen.

Ramadan narrated the phone call that occurred between him and the bank employee, saying: “I woke up today by a phone call from the bank informing me that the government had confiscated my money. I replied by saying that myself and all I own is Egypt’s property.”

During the video, the controversial star did not mention the reason why his bank accounts were frozen.

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Ramadan participated during the previous Ramadan season in the series Moussa, along with a number of stars, including Sayed Ragab, Somaya el-Khashab and Heba Magdy.

Recently, a state of controversy arose between the two stars, Mohamed Ramadan and the Moroccan Saad Lamjarred, because of the song "Ensay", which brought them together two years ago and achieved great success, amassing millions of views on YouTube.

Ramadan surprised his fans and followers on his official social media platforms, by placing a link to the song "Ensay", after Saad Lamjarred submitted a request to delete the song on YouTube and stated that Ramadan violated the terms of the contract.

YouTube deleted the song at the request of Saad Lamjarred. Lamjarred recently tried to communicate with Ramadan in order to take his financial dues from YouTube profits, according to the contract agreed upon between them at the time of preparations for the song, but they did not reach a solution satisfactory to both parties.
