CAIRO –7 July 2017: A rumor has been spreading all over the internet that the Warner Bros. and Marvel are joining forces to create a saga of films of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

According to The Independent, Marvel and Warner Bros. are hunting for actors between the ages of 25 to 36 to play a younger Wonka and Ryan Gosling is considered a top choice.

Ryan Gosling is an actor and musician who has become a much more in-demand actor since his Oscar nomination for best actor role in 2017 in the six-Oscar winning La La Land film.

The upcoming adaptation is going to be based on Wonka and his earlier adventures, which means that the iconic Charlie Bucket character will not be featured in the upcoming film. However, it is likely he will be included in sequels to the franchise.

David Heyman, who secured the rights to the Harry Potter series for Warner Bros., is set to produce the film. Warner Bros. and Marvel have yet to comment on actors or directors for the upcoming film.
