Important world events:

 

 

1110 - Crusader forces occupy Beirut, which they called "Gautier", wreaking havoc on it and committing terrible massacres there.

 

 

1805 - Omar Makram leads a popular revolution against the arbitrariness of the Ottoman ruler Khorshid Pasha. This revolution succeeded in removing him from power and choosing Mohammad Ali Pasha as governor of Egypt.

 

 

1965 - Gamal Abdel Nasser cuts diplomatic relations with West Germany due to the establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel.
