Egypt’s National Museum of Egyptian Civilization undergoes a regular sanitization, disinfection process

CAIRO - 9 May 2021: In order to comply with established health safety regulations and provide maximum protection to keep tourism and antiquities workers, citizens, and tourists safe from the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is carrying out regular sanitization and disinfection procedures.
 
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Chief Executive Officer of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization Authority, said that in cooperation with the Chemical War Department of the Ministry of Defense, the clean-up and biological sanitization of the museum was carried out in accordance with international standards of disinfection procedures and using materials approved by the Ministry of Health and Population. 
 
The cleansing and sanitization process included the the reception hall, ticket offices, exhibition halls, administrative offices of workers, toilets, indoor and outdoor corridors, visitor seatings, and all touchpoints in those areas.
