CAIRO – 21 April 2021: President of the Heliopolis Association Nabil Helmy announced the organization of a book fair under the title "Recently Issued" on April 22 at 11 a.m. in the Heliopolis Library.

The book fair will run for five days, and coincides with the celebration of the World Book and Copyright Day, according to Helmy. The fair is set to include many books from diverse sections. It also includes the latest publications received by the library.

Helmy emphasized the association’s keenness to hold many activities that promote knowledge and culture, especially through reading. He stressed that reading does not only help one make academic achievements, but it also helps develop one's critical and creative thinking and problem solving skills; encourages respecting others, and collaboration; boosts the ability to manage arguments, and to achieve the integral growth of personality.

On a similar note, Director of the Heliopolis Library Iman Mahdi announced that entering the library and attending the exhibition is free of charge throughout the celebration period, which is an ideal opportunity to enjoy reading.

World Book Day is a global celebration, launched by UNESCO, and is celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world. This day was celebrated for the first time on April 23, 1995. The main goal of this day is to encourage everyone to read, and learn about the positive impact of reading for only 10 minutes a day, especially on children.
