“I invite all Egyptians and the whole world to follow this unique event, inspired by the spirit of the great ancestors, who preserved the nation and created a civilization of which all humans are proud… Let’s continue our path that we have started…The path of construction and humanity,” he said on his Twitter account.

“With pride, I look forward to receiving Egypt’s kings and queens after their journey from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC). This majestic scene proves the greatness of this nation and its guardian of a unique civilization all over history,” he added.

President Sisi will be at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where he will receive the royal convoy to their final resting place.

Egypt is organizing an event of its kind in the world, to transfer 22 royal mummies in a majestic world parade from the place of its current display in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the place of its permanent display in the NMEC in Fustat.
