Egypt’s superstar Mona Zaki to serve as leading artist in the Pharaohs Golden Parade

CAIRO - 28 March 2021: Egyptian superstar Mona Zaki will serve as the leading artist in the Pharaohs Golden Parade.

 

The wait for the Royal parade is finally over! The date is set for The Pharaohs’ Golden Parade on April 3, where 22 mummies will gracefully roam the streets of Cairo.

The royal parade will by all means be  unrivalled and once in a lifetime event. 

 
‏‎Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El Enany follows up on the latest developments of the Pharaohs Golden Parade.
 
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is organizing the event, which is the first of its kind in the world, to transfer 22 royal mummies in a majestic world parade from the place of its current display in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the place of its permanent display in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.
 
 
Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Major General Khaled Abdel A'al, Governor of Cairo, met with representatives of the ministries of defense, interior and security officials, the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and officials of the company doing the transfer of mummies to discuss the final touches in preparation for the start of the parade in the coming days.
 
 
During the meeting, the company organizing the event which is specialized in this field, in a way that guarantees and provides the safety and security of atrifacts of the event, reviewed the details of the action plan to bring out the event with the appearance that befits the greatness of our ancestors and the nobility of the Egyptian civilization.
 
 
In addition to discussing the plans of the artistic performances that will be presented since the parade's departure from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and traveling through the streets of Cairo until reaching the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, and the itinerary of the parade, decorations, artistic elements and propaganda materials that will be used to decorate the streets and squares along the route of the parade, as well as the designs of clothes and costumes that will be worn by the participants in the celebration and the accompanying music.
 
 
 
The Golden Pharoah's Parade will be accompanied on the same day by the opening of the central hall and the Royal Mummies Hall of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
 
Dr. Khaled El Enany stressed that the transfer of royal mummies will be carried out according to specific procedures that will be taken into account, safety and security wise, followed internationally in the transfer of artifacts.
 
 
The artifacts will be placed in advanced sterilization units, and then loaded on carts that have been specially designed and equipped for that event.
 
 
This will all be loaded with the aim of preserving the integrity of the mummies, and ensuring that the celebration is carried out in a manner befitting the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
 
 
 
It is noteworthy that the number of mummies and coffins which will be transferred are 22 royal mummies, dating back to the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasty, there are 18 mummies for kings and 4 mummies for queens, including the mummy of King Ramses II, King Seqnen Ra, King Thutmose III, and King Siti The first, Queen Hatshepsut, Queen Mert Amon, wife of King Amenhotep the First, and Queen Ahmose-Nefertari.
 
Zaki is the quintessential star of her generation.

She played her first role with the prominent actor and director Mohamed Sobhy in “Bel Arabi El-Faseeh” play.

Throughout her career, Mona has worked with all the top Egyptian actors and directors. She stood in front of the Egyptian legend Ahmed Zaki in “Ayam El Saddat”, where she played the historical role of former First Lady Gihan Al-Sadat. 

 

In Addition to her significant role as a lead actress in “Ehky Ya Schehrazade”, where she bravely tackled important women’s issues on silver screen with the iconic director Yousry Nasrallah, bringing the very sensitive cause of domestic violence to the attention of many. 

 

Mona proved that her diverse talents, dedication, and diversity makes her perfect for any role.  

 

Among Mona’s iconic roles is the one she played in “Cinderella”, where she embodied the legend “Soad Hosny”. 

 

Moreover, she mastered her role in “Afrah Al Qobba” series where she played a complex character of a kind and sweet femme fatale. 

 

Last but not least, she won an award for her role in “Dam El Ghazal”, where she perfectly portrayed the character of a young underprivileged neighbourhood sweetheart living amidst political turmoil and terrorism.  

 

 

Aside from her acting career, Zaki is a UNICEF ambassador who has contributed immensely to raising awareness on many national charity and advocacy campaigns, many child related topics, including child labor, malnutrition, poverty, the effects of violence on children and FGM. 

 

Zaki also takes part in many charity initiatives, the latest of which being a public calling for celebrities to sponsor the families most affected by the COVID-19 health crisis. 

Mona is married to one of Egypt’s most popular actors, who is the superstar Ahmed Helmy .

 

Helmy and Zaki have three children who are Lilly,Selim and Younis.

 
 
 
 
CEO of United Media Services and famed Egyptian producer Tamer Mursi released official promo of “ Lebet Neuton” series which is scheduled to be aired in Ramadan.

 

” Lebet Neuton” houses a notable group of stars such as Mona Zaki, Mohamed Farag, Mohamed Mamdouh, Sayed Ragab, Mayan Sayed among others.

 

The series is written and directed by Tamer Mohsen and produced by Synergy and Dahab Media.

 

Zaki and Eyad Nassar will co-star in the Arabic version of the Italian movie “Perfect Strangers”.

 

Beside Zaki and Nassar the movie stars Diamand Bou Abboud, Adel Karam among others.

 

The Arabic version of “Perfect Strangers” will be produced by Mohamed Hefzy and directed by Wessam Samira.

 

Cairo International Film Festival granted Zaki the prestigious Faten Hamama Award of Excellence during the 42nd edition’s opening ceremony in recognition of her outstanding career.

 

Zaki  said that her choice to be honored with a great award bearing the name of the great artist Faten Hamama from the prestigious Cairo International Film Festival makes her feel proud, content, grateful and thankful for every effort she has made in her career,  and for every colleague, director, writer and worker in this profession; they were the reason for this moment to happen and it will never be forgotten.
