CAIRO – 22 March 2021: On its official Facebook page, the American Embassy in Cairo mourned the late writer Nawal el-Saadawi, a pioneer, who has paved the way for the feminist movement in Egypt. Saadawi passed away on March 21 at the age of 90.

 

 

The embassy obituary read, "Everybody has to die .. I will die and you will die. The important thing is how to live until you die.

 

 

Nawal el-Saadawi, Woman at Point Zero. We pay tribute to a fearless pioneer, Dr. Sadaawi, who lived the fullest of lives and leaves a remarkable legacy across many fields, including the arts, science, education, literature, health and women’s rights.”
