CAIRO – 26 January 2021: Hala El-Said, minister of planning and economic development received this week Muhammad Al-Naqbi, chairman of the Emirates Smart Solutions Company at the Ministry’s General Office to discuss joint cooperation in the field of digital transformation.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Naqbi congratulated the Minister for winning the title of Best Arab Minister from the Arab Government Excellence Award.

 

During the meeting, the need to follow up on the relationship between Egypt and the UAE at all levels was emphasized, which is reflected in the strong relations between the two governments, as well as the close cooperation between the private sector in the two countries.

 

The Minister of Planning asserted the Egyptian state’s keenness to support the encouragement of the Egyptian, Arab and foreign private sector to participate in the process of economic development and to enter into multiple partnerships in order to support the diversification of the economy.

 

During the meeting, Al-Naqbi reviewed the most important fields of work of "Etimad" in Egypt and a number of Arab countries. The company is looking forward to expanding cooperation with the government and the private sector in Egypt.

 

After the meeting, Ashraf Abdel Hafeez, assistant minister of Planning for Digital Transformation, accompanied representatives of the Emirati company on a tour inside the Citizens' Mobile Technology Center, which is one example of the service development projects implemented by the Egyptian government.
