Petroleum minister, EU ambassador discuss partnership initiatives in energy field

CAIRO - 29 November 2020: Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla discussed on Sunday with European Union ambassador to Cairo Christian Berger means of enhancing partnership initiatives between Egypt and the EU in energy field.


In statements, the minister said that they discussed the current talks concerning EU partnership to fund the development of the 2035 energy strategy in Egypt.



Meanwhile, Berger said that Egypt is on top of the EU priorities to enhance partnership in energy field, asserting continuing cooperation between the EU and Egypt in this field.



The EU ambassador also invited the minister to hold an online meeting with the EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson to discuss means of boosting bilateral relations.
