CAIRO – 29 November 2020: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session in green, adding LE 2.17 million to market capitalization, amid Egyptian and Arab purchases.

 

The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.26 percent, or 28.31 points, to close at 11,009.27 points.

 

The equally weighted index EGX 50 increased 0.85 percent, or 18.49 points, to end at 2,196.39 points.

 

The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 hiked 1.35 percent, or 27.08 points, to close at 2,035.78 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 1.16 percent, or 34.05 points to 2,980.9 points.

 

 

Market capitalization gained around LE 2.17 billion, recording LE 638.58 billion, compared to LE 636.42 billion in Thursday’s session.

 

 

The trading volume reached 576.86 million shares, traded through 40,406 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.2 billion. 

 

Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 4.21 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 2.76 million, and LE 1.45 million, respectively. 

 

Egyptian, and Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 46.45 million, and LE 3.73 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 1.35 million.

 

Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 43.69 million , and LE 2.28 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 2.86 million.

 

Egyptian Financial & Industrial, Amer Group Holding, and Gharbia Islamic Housing Developmentwere top gainers of the session at 10.41 percent, 9.78 percent and 8.89 percent, respectively. 

 

Meanwhile, Egyptians Housing Development & Reconstruction, Atlas For Investment and Food Industries, and ODIN Investments were top losers of the session by 9.91 percent, 7.27 percent, and 5.73 percent, respectively.

 

EGX ended Thursday session in red, as  EGX30 dropped 0.79 percent, EGX 50 dipped 0.85 percent, EGX 70 dropped 1.41 percent and EGX 100 decreased 1.25 percent.
