GAFI CEO confers with Bahraini ambassador on enhancing investments to Egypt

CAIRO - 12 October 2020: Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones Mohamed Abdel Wahab conferred on Monday with Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder on means of increasing Bahraini investments in Egypt.


During the meeting, Abdel Wahab asserted that Egypt is working according to a serious plan to ease and motivate the investment climate in Egypt, noting that GAFI is seeking to lure more Bahraini investments to the country along with intensifying contacts with major Bahraini companies interested in available investment opportunities in fields of common interest.



The GAFI chief also noted that the authority is coordinating with the Bahraini Council for Development to brief the business community in Manama on the latest developments in the Egyptian economy.



The Bahraini ambassador, for his part, praised the close relations between the two countries in the political and economic fields, asserting the importance of further beefing up cooperation to meet the aspirations of the two countries.
 

The ambassador also welcomed the invitation of GAFI chief to a number of Bahraini investors to meet with representatives of GAFI to carry out new investments.
