Tourism Ministry participates in UNWTO conference

CAIRO 26 June 2017: Egypt’s Tourism Ministry has taken part in the general assembly of the UN conference on sustainable development in the Philippine capital of Manila.

During the event, organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), a representative from the tourism ministry reviewed Egypt’s vision and the efforts exerted by the ministry in the field of sustainable tourism, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The UNWTO has adopted the Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) which is a standard statistical framework and the main tool for the economic measurement of tourism and its contribution to achieving the UN goals with regard to the sustainable development.
