CAIRO, July 5 (MENA) - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek al Molla said 1.07 housing units were connected to natural gas within 2019-2020 as part of a national project to deliver natural gas to households.

In a statement issued Sunday, the minister said the ministry succeeded to achieve its prospected plan on linking homes to the natural gas grid, at an implementation rate of 107% compared to the target set for the same period last year, despite the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

He underlined the ministry's efforts to carry out an overall government plan envisaging supplying natural gas to all housing units across the various Egyptian governorates, with a view to lifting burden on citizens.
