CAIRO - 30 June 2020: Minister of Trade and industry Nevine Gamea' said that her ministry is about to mechanize the system of services in a number of bodies in order to facilitate procedures for investors to get distinguished service within a set time limit.

Gamea' said that facilitating the measures of these services is a basic cornerstone to create an attractive investment environment to implement the plan of the state for sustainable economic development.

This came in a statement by the Ministry of Trade on Tuesday during an extended meeting held by Gamea' via video conference with the members of the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) to review the most important incentives stipulated in the law of developing medium, small and micro enterprises.

The meeting also tackled the vision of the ministry to develop the industrial sector to increase the export rates, the statement said.

The law on developing medium, small and micro enterprises, approved by the parliament, is a turning point in developing this pivotal sector which is important for comprehensive economic development, the statement added.

The new law gave a unified definition of the medium, small and micro enterprises for the first time, Gamea' said, adding that it put flexible and new mechanisms to facilitate funding the owners of theses enterprises.

Meanwhile, Head of the EJB asserted that the association is keen on coordinating with the ministry to know its long-term and short-term approaches to contribute to putting a road map to develop the Egyptian industry.
