Egypt's central bank, EGX announces 2-day holiday on occasion of June 30 revolution

CAIRO – 28 June 2019: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the Central Bank of Egypt announced that they will be off during Tuesday and Wednesday, June 30 and July 1, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the June 30 Revolution and the end of fiscal year 2019/2020.

Egypt’s fiscal year starts on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the next year.

June 30 revolution witnessed protests of Egyptians against former President Mohamed Morsi's administration that ended by the latter leaving the rule of the country.

Trading will be resumed on Thursday, July 2, according to EGX statement.

EGX ended Sunday in a semi-collective rise as: EGX30 dipped 0.38 percent, while EGX 50 increased 0.62 percent, EGX 70 climbed 1.06 percent, and EGX 100 rose 0.86 percent.
