CAIRO - 22 June 2020: Trade and Industry Minister Nevin Gamea has emphasized the need to develop a flexible global economic system to strike a balance between making use of economic globalization and self-sufficiency of local production.

The minister reiterated on Monday that Egypt supports such a balanced system to help countries counter the repercussions of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

This system will be also a new form of solidarity and cooperation between countries and individuals to face the Covid-19 crisis and take precautionary measures to deal with any similar crises to achieve social justice, Gamea added.

The minister made her remarks during her participation in the Annual Investment Meeting held in the UAE.
