Minister of industry probes cooperation in industrial digitization and training with Siemens

CAIRO - 11 June 2020: Minister of Trade and Industry Niven Gamea' met on Thursday with a delegation of Siemens Egypt company for talks on benefiting from the potentials of the company in developing the national industry and activating a memorandum of understanding inked with the Egyptian government in the field of industrial digitization and training.

In a statement on Thursday, Gamea' asserted her ministry's keenness on providing the technologies of the 4th industrial revolution for the national industry to increase its competitiveness in the local and world markets.

She pointed out to the importance of spreading the culture of industrial digitization in all the Egyptian industrial sectors.

The meeting tackled reviving the memorandum of understanding aiming at providing the Egyptian industry with the latest solutions and techniques in the field of digital transformation, automation, occupational and environmental safety, energy saving, development of industrial zones and improving the capabilities of cadres, Gamea' said.

There are current projects implemented between the Egyptian government and Siemens company as part of the signed memorandum of understanding which covers many areas including the establishment of a national industrial platform to market Egypt’s industrial products in the global market, she said.
