CBE denies issuing 500-pound banknote

CAIRO - 28 May 2020: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) denied on Wednesday issuing a 500-pound banknote in July.

An official at the bank dismissed as groundless reports circulated in social media.

He warned people from being dragged behind such rumors, saying only the official pages and website of the CBE are the only reliable sources for any bank-related information.
