CAIRO - 10 April 2020 - Minister of Petroleum Tarek Al Mulla on Friday participated via video conference in a meeting of the G-20 energy ministers under the co-chairmanship of Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdel Aziz bin Salman and his Russian counterpart Alexander Novak.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum, the participants discussed cutting down oil output at the world level to restore stability of the international oil market through trying to stop the sharp decrease of oil prices.

Mulla, added the statement, underlined the importance of the meeting at this time for restoring the balance of oil prices and markets.
He also confirmed Egypt's coordination of efforts with the G-20 for achieving the stability of the global oil market.
