CAIRO – 18 December 2019: Trade exchange between Egypt and Italy hit $7.2 billion during 2018, according to Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar.

Nassar added Wednesday that Italy is one of Egypt’s most important trade partners not only on the European Union level but also on the global level.

This came during the opening of the second Egyptian-Italian Economic Forum, which is held in Cairo.

Nassar stressed that the Egyptian-Italian relations are witnessing unprecedented developments at the political, economic and commercial levels based on their full coordination and consensus on various regional issues and common challenges.

The minister said that the partnership between Egypt and Italy is based on the businessmen of the two countries who play an active role in developing bilateral economic relations by investing in joint projects that stimulate the real growth of the economy and provide more job opportunities.

Minister Nassar pointed out that Egypt and Italy recently signed several bilateral agreements to push economic relations to distinct levels.
