Cairo - 19 December 2018: SQS announced the entry the entry into partnership agreement with Egypt’s ITIDA Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to expand its presence in Egypt.

SQS which is the quality specialist for digital business, clarified in a statement that the agreement will result in ramping up SQS operations in Cairo over the next 3 years by adding 150 graduates in the field of IT, quality assurance and software testing to serve its global business delivery.

“The ICT sector in Egypt is witnessing unprecedented growth rates, and we see increased interest in companies looking to expand or establish global service delivery centres in the country. SQS is one of the leading examples that leverage as a hub for global operations and has faith in our competitive talent and our Egypt’s value proposition at large. We enthusiastically continue to support tech investors to expand their footmark globally from Egypt, ” ITIDA’s acting CEO Maha Rashad stated.

For his part, Managing Director of SQS Egypt Ahmed Abdou says, “Our Egypt operation continues to be an attractive proposition for our clients seeking scalability and flexibility to serve markets in Europe. This agreement highlights our commitment to invest in the highly educated, multilingual talent and digital-savvy workforce in the region. We look forward to welcoming them to SQS.”

The statement noted that the partnership is part of an initiative by the ITIDA to train and upskill graduates to help grow the development of the Egyptian IT industry, by making Egypt one of the top global hubs for technology and business services.

“Egypt is a key offshore excellence centre for SQS that supports clients from around the world and enables a global delivery model, which offers them both flexibility and operational efficiencies,” it read.
