PM directs officials to swiftly finalize Asmarat 3 project in Cairo

CAIRO - 17 September 2018: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Sunday inspected the establishment process of Asmarat city in Mokattam district in Cairo governorate.

The premier was accompanied by Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, Deputy Housing Minister Asem el Gazzar and Head of Informal Settlements Development Fund Khaled Seddik.

During the tour, Madbouli urged the officials to swiftly finalize the third phase of Asmarat project that includes the establishment of 7,304 housing units at a cost of LE 1.8 billion.

Seddik noted that the establishment process of the second phase of the Together to Develop Slums in Al Salam 2 district in Cairo is working as scheduled, adding that the project will include 3,312 housing units in which 78 percent of them were established.

Also, Cairo governor added that the Mahrousa 1 and 2 projects in Nahda city of Al Salam 2 district are currently being established where 4,900 housing units will be build.
