Banque Misr chairman says he was chosen as UAB deputy head unanimously

CAIRO - 30 April 2018: Chairman of Banque Misr Mohamed el Etreby said that he was chosen as deputy head of the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) unanimously.

Etreby told MENA on the sidelines of the second day of the UAB conference that Egypt plays a prominent role in the UAB which was headed by Egyptian banking figures in previous rounds.

For his part, the UAB Secretary General Wissam Fattouh hailed the choice of Etreby for this post, noting that the Egyptian banking sector witnessed the biggest growth rate in the Arab countries during 2017 with 25%.
