39 ships transit Suez Canal with cargo of 2.5 mln tons

ISMAILIA, Egypt– 27 September 2017: As many as 39 ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.5 million tons.

The north-bound convoy included 19 ships laden with 1.4 tons while the south-bound convoy included 20 vessels carrying 1.1 million tons, according to a statement by the Suez Canal Authority.
