CAIRO – 11 September 2017: Egypt's exports to the UAE rose 7 percent to $1.204 billion in the first half (1H) of 2017 compared to $1.127 billion in the year-ago period, according to the Egypt-UAE trade exchange index.

The advance achieved by the Egyptian exports in the aforementioned period contributed to increasing the value of the surplus of the trade balance between the two countries to $735 million compared to $785 million in 1H of 2016, the Head of the Egyptian Commercial Service Office Ahmed Antar said.

The Trade Minister Deputy attributed the development in the Egyptian exports to the successful promotional efforts of the commercial office in Abu Dhabi in introducing the Egyptian product to the UAE consumers.

Antar pinpointed that the most important Egyptian exports to the UAE were gold, televisions, furniture, fresh and frozen vegetables, wires and cables.
