CAIRO– 12 August 2017: The Egyptian Exchange's chairman Mohamed Farid Saleh will attend a meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) in Bangkok on September 6-9.

The gathering, to be attended by the chiefs of international bourses and representatives of the World Bank and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), will focus on the societal role of the bourses in boosting economic growth.

The role of up-to-date technology in developing the performance of exchanges will figure high in the discussions.

The Egyptian Exchange plays a leading role among the world exchanges in the field of sustainable development. It has partaken in founding an international initiative under the auspices of the UN chief in this domain. Around 63 exchanges have joined the plan.

Its grants for societal activities have hit nearly 10 million EGP
