CAIRO –  17 November 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 8.09 billion to the market capitalization, amid Arab purchases.
  
The benchmark EGX30 increased 1.41 percent, or 174.51 points, to end at 12,515.71 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 0.55 percent, or 11.94 points, to end at 2,185.74 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 1.10 percent, or 25.99 points, to close at 2,388.35 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 0.93 percent at 3,482.65 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 8.09 billion, recording LE 821.74 billion, compared to LE  813.65 billion in Wednesday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 721.59 million shares, traded through 68,804 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.14 billion.
 
Arab investors were net buyers at LE 213.4 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 44.43 million, and LE 168.96 million, respectively.
 
Egyptian, Arab, and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 81.22 million, LE 30.17 million, and LE 447,106, respectively.
 
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 36.79 million, and LE 243.56 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 168.5 million.
 
Lecico Egypt, Maridive & oil services, and Suez Canal Bank S.A.E were top gainers of the session at 19 percent, 11.32 percent and 10.24 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Alexandria Pharmaceuticals, Cairo Pharmaceuticals, and ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. were top losers of the session by 14.26 percent, 11.08 percent, and 3.99 percent, respectively.
