CAIRO –  7 November 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 12.25 billion to the market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign purchases.
  
The benchmark EGX30 increased 2.37 percent, or 264.51 points, to end at 11,443.71 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 1.14 percent, or 23.31 points, to end at 2,061.78 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.81 percent, or 18.07 points, to close at 2,237.75 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 1.06 percent at 3,260.17 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 12.25 billion, recording LE 770.3 billion, compared to LE  758.05 billion in Sunday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 455.46 million shares, traded through 45,389 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.35 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 306.15 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 74.35 million, and LE 231.79 million, respectively.
 
Egyptian and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 292.08 million, and LE 2 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 2.05 million.
 
Arab and foreign organizations bought at LE 72.31 million, and LE 233.8 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations sold at LE 14.06 million.
 
Pyramisa Hotels, Egyptian Transport (EGYTRANS), and Development & Engineering Consultants were top gainers of the session at 19.96 percent, 8.25 percent and 6.74 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Medical Packaging Company, Engineering Industries (ICON), and Rakta Paper Manufacturing were top losers of the session by 4.61 percent, 3.11 percent, and 2.10 percent, respectively.
