CAIRO – 15 September 2022: The Egyptian Suez Canal Authority (SCA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the South Red Sea Shipyard (SRSS) for cooperation in the tourism yacht industry, said the SCA in a statement on Thursday.

The signing ceremony was attended by Admiral Osama Rabie, the statement added, noting that Rabie hoped that this cooperation help localize the tourism yacht industry as it was directed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The tourist yacht industry is one of the most promising economic activities that create job opportunities and increase the national income, said CEO of the SRSS Mostafa el Degeishy.

For the first, yacht tourism platform has been launched in Egypt. President Sisi said during the inauguration of the Olympic Village of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) in Ismailia city that three yacht ports will be established and funded by the revenues of the Suez Canal Authority not by the general budget allocations.
