Egypt PM, CBE Governor discuss preparation for economic conference

CAIRO – 12 September 2022: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah to review a number of economic files on Monday, said Cabinet Spokesperson Nader Saad in a statement.

They tackled on the economic files and topics to be discussed during an economic conference that would convene soon upon President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives, the statement added.

The Prime Minister talked about the ongoing preparations for the conference and the coordination among the concerned bodies to tackle several topics and files like exports, industry and investment opportunities, Saad said.

The prime minister shed light on the key role of the CBE in facilitating measures that stimulate investors various sectors, especially the manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy industries.

The meeting dealt with the most important indicators of monetary policy, and a follow-up to the measures and decisions that are taken amid current economic situation and current global crises, Saad added.
