CAIRO - 11 August 2022: The outstanding balances of foreign clients’ investments in treasury bills (T-bills) amounted to LE 150.537 billion at the end of May 2022, compared to LE 180.538 billion at the end of April 2022, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed.
 
The CBE’s statistical bulletin revealed that the investments of specialized banks in treasury bills (T-bills) recorded LE 68.942 billion at the end of May 2022, compared to LE 70.190 billion at the end of April.
 
The investments of private sector banks recorded LE 305.088 billion, compared to LE 326.59 billion, it added.
 
Public sector banks’ investments in treasury bills (T-bills) amounted to about LE 296.3 billion at the end of May, compared to LE 301.584 billion at the end of April.
 
 Investments of foreign banks recorded LE 50.581 billion, compared to LE 59.224 billion.
