Bourse gains LE 6.8B, all indexes up

CAIRO - 7 August 2022: Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted collective gains at the close of Sunday's trading session, backed by strong purchases by local institutions and investment funds, as well as Egyptian investors.

 

The market capital gained about LE 6.8 billion to hit LE 669.5 billion at closing, after transactions that totaled LE 4.8 billion.

 

The EGX 30 benchmark index jumped by 0.8 percent, registering 10,123.81 points.

 

The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) increased by 4.08 percent, closing at 1,989.56 points.

 

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 3.1 percent, ending at 2,923.75 points.
