CAIRO –  26 June 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session on a mixed note, losing around LE 1.91 billion of market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign selling.
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 inched up 0.04 percent, or 3.9 points, to end at 9,443.75 points.
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 increased 0.03 percent, or 0.58 points, to end at 1,696.03 points.
 
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 declined 0.23 percent, or 4.03 points, to close at 1,774.77 points, and the broader index EGX 100 dropped 0.09 percent, or 2.38 points, to close at 2,627.08 points.
 
 
Market capitalization lost around LE 1.91 billion, recording LE 633.4 billion, compared to LE 635.32 billion in Thursday’s session.
 
 
The trading volume reached 252.39 million shares, traded through 25,619 transactions, with a turnover of LE 482.94 million.
 
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 39.8 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 12.81 million, and LE 26.99 million, respectively.
 
 
Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 13.23 million, and LE 12.64 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 2.43 million.
 
 
Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 170,804, and LE 29.42 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations bought at LE 53.04 million.
 
 
AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt, Medinet Nasr Housing, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank- Egypt were top gainers of the session at 9.77 percent, 8.94 percent and 6.53 percent, respectively.
 
 
Meanwhile, GB AUTO, MM Group for Industry and International Trade, and Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment, were top losers of the session by 6.53 percent, 5.15 percent, and 5.09 percent, respectively.
