CAIRO –  30 May 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session in the green zone, adding around LE 1.02 billion to market capitalization, amid Egyptian purchases.
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.22 percent, or 22.64 points, to end at 10,109.36 points.
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 0.46 percent, or 7.93 points, to end at 1,729.07 points.  
 
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 0.62 percent, or 10.73 points, to close at 1,737.79 points, and the broader index EGX 100 jumped 0.58 percent, or 14.99 points, to close at 2,614.56 points.
 
 
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 1.02 billion, recording LE 663.54 billion, compared to LE 662.51 billion in Sunday’s session.
 
 
The trading volume reached 222.23 million shares, traded through 28,651 transactions, with a turnover of LE 723.63 million.
 
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 141.58 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 22.76 million, and LE 118.83 million, respectively.
 
 
 
Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 3.21 million, and LE 2.13 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net buyers at LE 85.18 million.
 
 
Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 19.55 million,and LE 116.69 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations bought at LE 56.41 million.
 
 
Arab Co. for Asset Management and Development, Obour Land for Food Industries, and Arab Cotton Ginning were top gainers of the session at 8.10 percent, 5.30 percent and 5.03 percent, respectively.
 
 
Meanwhile, Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical, Rakta Paper Manufacturing, and Egyptian Transport (EGYTRANS) were top losers of the session by 8.60 percent, 7.51percent, and 4.39 percent, respectively.
